The Potentials for blogging

At this point, I have noticed that many teachers are using blogging in their classrooms. The students really enjoy blogging; therefore i think its great. If students can learn and have a good time while doing it then i say job well done. I wish it could be more private, maybe between the teacher and student only. I say this because i have trouble with being comfortable with public social networks. I think it would be great to have it open to the entire class when their are group assignments. Im not sure if all kids & parents feel comfortable with everyone being able to view their comments and personal information.
